Google Is Changing Their Homepage
Google is changing their Google.com homepage, the most drastic change the company has made since their launch in 1996.
The Google signature homepage is clean and simple, featuring the company logo and a search bar. The new homepage will resemble the Google app for iOS and Android users, giving users access to personalized news feeds showing content based on a user’s interests, their location, and their past searches.
As mentioned in a previous post, Google has improved it’s machine learning algorithms and it is updating the way it displays information to match. Users can now also manually follow topics which interest them which will be added to the homepage feed.
3 Signs Your Website Needs a Makeover
Every website can benefit from an update from time to time. Below are 3 signs that your website may need a few tweaks and fixes:
- Your website looks dated. Having an aesthetically appealing and modern website is important if you want visitors to stay engaged and to reduce your bounce rate. It will also have a positive impact on your brand image.
- Your website is not mobile responsive. If you do not have a mobile site or if your website takes too long to load on a mobile device, your search ranking is going to suffer.
- Your leading competitors are outranking you. This is a sign it’s time to rethink your content marketing strategy and come up with some ways to stay ahead of your competition online.
