Video Blog: 5 Tips to Using Pinterest
Remember how strange and awkward you were at your first networking event? Sure, there are those people that are naturally good at professional networking (see: Kasie Hilburn, “Baby Kisser,”) but it doesn’t come easily for most of us. That’s not to say I don’t love meeting new people or that I am not an outgoing person in my personal life, but as soon as I go to a networking event, I become a shrinking violet and tend to focus on how uncomfortable my shoes are instead of “working the room.”
Using social media for work can be a very similar experience for many. You’re completely comfortable posting pictures of your food, your kids, and the funny signs you see around town, but when it comes to posting things on your business profiles, you are at a loss.
The easiest way to think about what to include in social media posts for your business is to consider it just one more type of content. You understand your buyer personas and the types of white papers, ebooks, and blog posts they like to read, so just translate that into social media content. Sure, there is a shift in tone and a few basic rules you need to keep in mind when doing so, but that’s why we’re here!
Let’s look closer at Pinterest, because it is my favorite social media platform. Check out our video below to learn the 5 Tips to Using Pinterest for your Business! Have questions? Leave them in the comment section!
